DHA – Dubai Health Authority Licensing Process for
Healthcare Professionals

The DHA Exam is a computer-based qualifying test conducted by Prometric for healthcare professionals seeking licensure to practice in Dubai. It assesses candidates’ knowledge and skills to ensure they meet the standards set by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). Passing the exam is mandatory to obtain a professional license and legally work in Dubai’s healthcare sector.

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) uses Primary Source Verification (PSV) through the Dataflow Group to authenticate healthcare professionals’ qualifications, ensuring that only qualified individuals are licensed to work in Dubai’s health sector.

Students must first register on the DHA Sheryan portal to obtain a DHA Unique ID. After completing the self-assessment and meeting eligibility criteria, an Eligibility ID will be generated. This ID is required to schedule the DHA Prometric exam.

How the DHA Prometric Exam Works

Exam Format

The DHA exam is a computer-based test (CBT) consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) designed to assess the candidate’s professional knowledge.

Duration

The total exam duration is 3 hours.

How is the DHA Exam Result Evaluated?

The DHA exam certificate highlights your strengths and weaknesses across different exam domains but does not indicate a pass or fail status. The official pass/fail result is issued by DHA through the Sheryan system within 2 to 5 working days after the exam. Results are calculated based on the total number of correct answers and the weight of each domain relevant to your specialty.

Passing Score

Candidates must meet the minimum required score set by DHA to successfully pass the exam.
